Because Autism & Special Needs mamas deserve support, too.

Monochromatic Mommies was created from the belief that no mother raising a child with autism or special needs should carry the emotional and practical weight alone. We exist to provide practical support, remove barriers, and build spaces where mamas can feel seen, strengthened, and supported in every season.

Our work is rooted in the belief that support should feel thoughtful, respectful, and easy to access — without pressure or judgment.

Through guided planning, community-centered supports, and intentional encouragement, we help mothers build stability first — so growth and next steps feel possible, not forced.

Special needs mothers deserve steady support — not silent overwhelm.

Monochromatic Mommies began with a simple observation: mothers raising children with autism and special needs are often navigating diagnosis, systems coordination, financial strain, and emotional overwhelm without steady, accessible support.

Traditional systems can feel overwhelming, overly clinical, or difficult to access — especially when a mother is already carrying so much.

Monochromatic Mommies was created to fill that gap by offering grounded, caregiver-centered support that meets mothers where they are and strengthens stability first.

Special needs motherhood is filled with constant change. Diagnosis, therapy coordination, advocacy, school decisions, financial strain, and emotional responsibility can create pressure, uncertainty, and overwhelm — often all at once.

When support is steady, clear, and accessible, it makes a meaningful difference. Monochromatic Mommies exists to ensure mothers don’t have to navigate these seasons alone, and that support feels grounding, compassionate, and within reach.

Care should be accessible, person-centered, and grounded in real life

Our Mission

Monochromatic Mommies exists to support mothers raising children with autism and special needs through community, education, resources and access to care so no mother has to navigate this journey alone.

Our Vision

We envision a world where mothers are seen, supported, and equipped with the resources they need to care for themselves and advocate confidently for their families.

Our Why

Monochromatic Mommies exists because too many mothers raising children with autism and special needs navigate this journey feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and unseen. Between long waitlists, unanswered questions, and the emotional weight of caregiving, support for mothers is often overlooked. We were created to change that—by offering community, clarity, and access to care, meeting mothers with support in the moments they need it most.

We believe effective support starts with presence—not pressure.

Monochromatic Mommies’ approach is relational, thoughtful, and grounded in lived experience. We focus on meeting mothers where they are — offering practical guidance, meaningful connection, and space for clarity to develop over time.

We start with listening.

We prioritize understanding each mother’s season before offering direction. Support begins with listening, empathy, and space — not assumptions or expectations.

We focus on real-life motherhood.

Our supports are built around the everyday realities of caregiving — providing tools, encouragement, and guidance that can be applied in real time, not abstract advice.

We honor your pace.

There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline in special needs motherhood. We respect individual capacity and focus on steady, sustainable progress that strengthens stability first.

Meet the Founder

I’m Sabrina Bonaparte — my son Aiden, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at two years old.

When we began navigating his diagnosis journey, I quickly realized that knowing about development and living it are two very different experiences. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a background in care coordination, case management, and mental health advocacy, I understood systems. But I wasn’t prepared for the isolation that often comes with special needs motherhood.

Between appointments, advocacy, and carrying the emotional weight of it all, there were seasons marked by overwhelm and quiet depression. Much of the support rightfully centered my son — but I began to notice how often mothers feel unseen in the process.

Monochromatic Mommies was created from that realization.

I’ve always loved creating learning activities for Aiden — meeting him where he is and discovering new ways he understands the world. Through that journey, I learned that growth requires patience, creativity, and steady support — not just for our children, but for us as mothers.

MM exists to provide that steady support. To create a space where mothers from different walks of life can share resources, extend understanding, and find connection with someone who simply gets it.

Monochromatic Mommies was built so no mother has to carry this journey alone.
