Community Conversations: Finding Wellness Through Connection, Support, and Shared Motherhood Experiences

Finding wellness through connection, support, and shared motherhood experiences.

Thursday, April 23, 2026, 7PM EST | Event Reminder will be sent to your registered email.

Motherhood—especially within the autism and special needs journey—can often feel isolating, overwhelming, and all-consuming. At Monochromatic Mommies, we believe wellness begins when mothers are truly seen, heard, and supported.

Join us for Community Conversations, a heartfelt Facebook Live discussion hosted by Sabrina Bonaparte and Jay Patrice. Together, we’ll create space for honest dialogue around motherhood, mental wellness, and the power of community.

Some days, the weight of caregiving is hard to put into words. But sometimes, all it takes is hearing another mama say “me too”—and everything feels a little lighter.

This is a space for real conversations, shared experiences, and meaningful connection with other mothers who understand the journey.

Moments for Mamas: Caregiver Awareness Edition — Caring for You!

Sunday, April 26, 2026, 5:00PM - 6:00PM EST | Meeting link to be email April 25th

Join us for Moments for Mamas: Caregiver Awareness Edition—a gentle virtual gathering created for mothers raising children with autism and special needs.

During Autism Awareness Month, so much focus is placed on understanding and supporting our children—yet the lived experiences of mothers and caregivers are often overlooked.

Behind every appointment, therapy session, advocacy effort, and sleepless night… there is a mother carrying it all.

This space is an opportunity to shift the conversation.

Together, we’ll hold space for honest reflection and open dialogue around what it truly means to be a caregiver—while exploring realistic, life-giving ways to care for ourselves in the midst of it all.

We’ll talk about:

  • The invisible weight of caregiving

  • Being seen and supported beyond the role of “mom”

  • Simple, sustainable ways to pour back into ourselves

This is not about doing more.
This is about being acknowledged, supported, and reminded that your well-being matters too.

Come as you are. Share if you feel led. Simply listen if that’s what you need.

You are not alone in this journey—and your experience deserves to be seen, heard, and understood.

Register using the contact form below. We are excited for you to join us mama!

Ask the Village: Private Q&A for Autism & Special Needs Mamas

You may have questions. Our village may have answers.

Monday, April 27, 2026, 6:30PM - 7:30PM EST

Private Google Meet will be sent to registered email on Sunday, April 26th

Ask the Village is a private virtual call for the Monochromatic Mommies community — a space where mamas show up, ask the real questions, and lean on each other for answers rooted in lived experience.

Bring whatever's on your heart: caregiving challenges, daily life questions, navigating systems, or just needing to know someone else has been there too. Mamas in the room will respond in real time — in conversation and in the chat — with encouragement, advice, and the kind of honesty only another mama can offer.

No panels. No presentations. Just our village, gathered and ready to help the best way we know how.

Hands That Speak: Simple ASL for Everyday Communication at Home

Wednesday, April 29, 2026 7:00pm - 8pm EST

Meeting link will be sent to registered email on April 28th!

Some of the most powerful conversations don't need words — they need hands.

Hands That Speak is a gentle, supportive introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) designed for real life at home and with your family.

During this virtual session, we focus on simple, meaningful ways to begin incorporating ASL into your daily routines. Whether you're looking to support your child's communication, reduce frustration, or simply discover a new way to connect — this space is for you.

During these sessions, we explore:

• The ASL alphabet (ABCs)

• How to spell names and familiar words

• Simple, everyday signs you can begin using right away

• Practical ways to incorporate ASL into your home environment

No prior experience needed. This is a relaxed, judgment-free space created with families in mind.

Our instructor is a passionate community member who completed formal ASL coursework and is volunteering her time to share what she's learned in a way that feels approachable and useful for everyday life.

Come as you are. Bring a notebook if you'd like. And get ready to learn simple tools that can create meaningful connection.

Please note: This class is intended for basic, everyday communication and is not a formal ASL certification course.

Planting Seeds of Hope: A Gathering for Mothers

Motherhood in the autism and special needs journey often means pouring ourselves into everyone else first.

The appointments.
The therapies.
The advocacy.
The late-night research.

We spend so much time planting seeds for our children’s growth and future.

But during this gathering, we want to pause and ask a different question:

What seeds are we planting for ourselves?

Join Monochromatic Mommies for a gentle virtual gathering where mothers will reflect on the small things they hope to nurture in their own lives this year — rest, joy, balance, healing, and personal growth.

Each mother will leave the gathering with something special — the seeds she shares will be turned into a personalized Seeds of Hope Bingo Card, mailed to her as a reminder throughout the year that mothers deserve care and growth too.

This is simply a space for mothers to pause, reflect, and be reminded that they are not alone in this journey.

The virtual meeting link will be sent on March 27th.

We hope to see you there! 💕

Love Letters for Mamas: Virtual Community Card Exchange

Love Letters for Mamas’ Virtual Card Exchange is an encouragement event where mothers submit heartfelt words of support that another mama may need to hear.

How It Works

March 3-28: Submit a short message of encouragement through our virtual form

After Submissions Close: MM will print, prepare, and mail your message as a physical card to another participating mother.

March 29-April 2: MM will mail all physical cards to participating mothers.

Why We’re Doing This

Special needs motherhood can feel isolating. Many mothers quietly carry emotional weight that goes unseen.

Love Letters for Mamas creates space for encouragement to flow within the community — reminding each woman that she is thought of, valued, and not alone.

Who Can Participate

Mothers raising children with autism or special needs are invited to submit encouragement and/or receive a letter.

There is no cost to participate.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Monochromatic Mommies is committed to protecting your privacy.

All personal information submitted through the Love Letters for Mamas form (including names and mailing addresses) will be used solely for the purpose of coordinating this encouragement exchange.

• Participant addresses are never shared with other mothers.
• Messages are reviewed and mailed directly by Monochromatic Mommies.
• Personal information is not sold, distributed, or used for any purpose outside of this event.

Our goal is to create a safe and supportive space where encouragement can flow freely — without compromising your privacy.

Monochromatic Mommies Meetup | Virtual Gathering Space for Mamas Raising Children with Autism and Special Needs.

Saturday, February 28, 2026, 10:00AM - 11:00AM EST | Meeting link to be email Feb 27th

No pressure. Just presence.

Join us for a laidback morning of connection created specifically for mothers raising children with autism and special needs.

This is not a workshop. Not a masterclass. Not something you have to prepare for.

Just come as you are. 💕

Wear your pajamas.
Bring your journal.
Sip your coffee or tea (or reheat it two or three times — we understand).

During our time together:

• 2–3 moms will briefly share pieces of their motherhood journey
• We’ll open the floor for community feedback on the types of virtual events and support you’d love to see
• We’ll take a few quiet minutes to journal and reflect
• There will be space to share — only if you want to

There is no expectation to show up as the “perfect mama”, come as you are girlie!

Camera on or off.
Hop in late or leave early if mama duty calls.
Simply showing up however it fits your capacity is enough.

This is a space to breathe, connect, and be reminded you’re not doing this alone.

The virtual meeting link will be sent on February 27th.

We hope to see you there! 💕
