Some of the most powerful conversations don't need words — they need hands.
Hands That Speak is a gentle, supportive introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) designed for real life at home and with your family.
During this virtual session, we focus on simple, meaningful ways to begin incorporating ASL into your daily routines. Whether you're looking to support your child's communication, reduce frustration, or simply discover a new way to connect — this space is for you.
During these sessions, we explore:
• The ASL alphabet (ABCs)
• How to spell names and familiar words
• Simple, everyday signs you can begin using right away
• Practical ways to incorporate ASL into your home environment
No prior experience needed. This is a relaxed, judgment-free space created with families in mind.
Our instructor is a passionate community member who completed formal ASL coursework and is volunteering her time to share what she's learned in a way that feels approachable and useful for everyday life.
Come as you are. Bring a notebook if you'd like. And get ready to learn simple tools that can create meaningful connection.
Please note: This class is intended for basic, everyday communication and is not a formal ASL certification course.
